How to Enroll in Air Force ROTC
Step 1: Apply and Be Accepted to UCF
1. Before applying to AFROTC Detachment 159 and attending the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP), interested students MUST be enrolled and registered as either a full-time student (UCF applicant) or non-degree-seeking student (crosstown applicants) with the University of Central Florida (UCF). If you have not applied, please visit UCF Undergraduate Admissions .
2. **You CANNOT join the program without first being fully enrolled and registered for classes at UCF** For application deadlines, click here .

Step 2: Apply to AFROTC in Wings
Steps to complete your application:
- Create a WINGS account by visiting https://wings.holmcenter.com/ and navigating to ROTC -> Apply for AFROTC.
- Complete and submit the entire application.
- Email afrotcadmissions@ucf.edu upon completion.
- RSVP to attend NSOP (details available under the ‘Upcoming Events’ section).
- Complete Docusign prefilled forms (a link will be provided after reporting WINGS enrollment completion).
- Plan to attend the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) sessions.

Entry Requirements:
To join the program, you must:
- Be a full-time undergraduate student.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Be in good physical condition.
- Have no history of illegal drug use.
- Be a U.S. citizen or be able to become one within a year.
- Meet Air Force height and weight standards.
Note: Students who are over, but within 12 pounds of the maximum weight for their height, may
start the AFROTC program but must meet height/weight standards by the start of their sophomore year.
