Colonel Michael J. Chandler – Detachment Commander

Colonel Mike Chandler is currently the Commander and Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 159, University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. He provides leadership & supervision of all unit operations, recruiting, and education functions as well as overseeing cadre training and professional development. He is responsible for leading, recruiting, training, counseling, and evaluating highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force officers.

Colonel Chandler was commissioned in 1986 from the United States Air Force Academy. He has flown A/OA-10 combat missions in Iraq during Desert Storm and again as an F-15C pilot, enforcing no-fly zones during operations Northern & Southern Watch. He later served as the Commander and Leader of the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds. Colonel Chandler is a command pilot with more than 4,400 flying hours. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Chief of Staff, 7th Air Force, Osan AB, Korea.

Major Dennis Clark – Education FLT/CC

Major Dennis J. Clark is the Education Flight Commander, at Detachment 159, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at the University of Central Florida, Orlando FL.

Major Clark received his commission in 1999 through the Air Force Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, AL. His career highlights include prior-enlisted experience, ICBM Combat Crew Commander, Spacelift Range Operations Commander, Air Force Technical Applications Center staff, and Detachment Commander of Det 1, “REEF”, Diego Garcia British Indian Ocean Territory, for the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN). Major Clark is married to the former Sue Hansana.

Major Dwayne B. Florence – Recruiting FLT/CC

Major Dwayne “Dee” Florence is currently an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and Recruiting Flight Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 159, University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. He provides information to college and high school students regarding Air Force Requirements. He is responsible for leading, recruiting, training, counseling, and evaluating highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force officers. Major Florence was commissioned in September 2011 through Officer Training School. His background includes aircraft, munitions and spacelift maintenance.

Captain Abbillyn M. Johnson – Operations Officer

Captain Abbillyn Johnson is currently the Operations Officer and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 159, University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. She provides supervision of all unit operations, recruiting, and education functions as well as overseeing cadre training and professional development. She is responsible for leading, recruiting, training, counseling, and evaluating highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force officers.

Captain Johnson was commissioned in 2002 as a distinguished graduate of AFROTC at the University of Central Florida. She has worked in- garrison Logistics Readiness positions to support the Nuclear Enterprise and AF Special Operations; and, deployed as a Joint Special Operations Air Component staff officer in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.

Captain Andrew Peloquin – Operations FLT/CC

Captain Andrew Peloquin is the Operations Flight Commander at Detachment 159, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at the University of Central Florida, Orlando FL.

Captain Peloquin received his commission in 2007 through the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. Prior to his assignment to AFROTC, he was the Officer in Charge (OIC), Hardware Development, in the Materials Technology Directorate, Air Force Technical Applications Center, Patrick AFB, FL. In this position, he was responsible for the design and development of novel environmental sampling technologies suitable for rapid, world-wide deployment. Captain Peloquin is married to 1st Lt Marlo Peloquin, a KC-135 pilot assigned to MacDill AFB, FL.

Staff Sergeant Heather Sutton – NCOIC of Knowledge Operations Management

Staff Sergeant Heather M. Sutton is currently the Non-commissioned Officer in Charge, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 159, University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida. She manages the personnel records and knowledge operations management for all cadre and cadets. In addition, Sergeant Sutton oversees cadet life-cycle personnel actions to include medical, physical, enlistment, categorization, and commissioning.
